FR. THOMAS NAIDU, Associate Pastor Fr. Thomas Naidu was born on October 25, 1973, in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu in India. His parents are Joachim and Regina Mary, and his only younger sister is Aleena Mary, who is married and has two daughters. His mother’s parents are his godparents, who named him “Thomas” after Saint Thomas the Apostle, who experienced martyrdom in his city in the first century. Since he received his schooling from three different Catholic Institutions, he desired to become a priest, inspired by his pastors, religious, and missionaries while growing up. Unfortunately, he could not express this because he knew that if one was the only son of a family, one was not encouraged to enter the priesthood at this time. However, surprisingly, he received the missionary calling and invitation through Fr Patrick Kelly SMA, a missionary to Chennai from Dublin, Ireland. Father Thomas entered the seminary in June 1992 to become a missionary after graduating high school. During his formative years, he had opportunities for international living and study experience in the Philippines, Egypt, Kenya, and Tanzania as part of his formation programs. After his ordination to the priesthood on December 21, 2003, on the holy hill of Saint Thomas the Apostle, he was sent to Brazil, where he served for four years including volunteering the mission work in the Amazon for one year before returning to India for his next assignments. Milwaukee Archdiocese received him in June 2015 and assigned him to Fond du Lac for five years as an associate pastor at Holy Family Catholic Community. Then, in July 2020, he was sent to the Dominican Republic/Haiti to serve at La Sagrada Familia Mission Parish for the Diocese of San Juan de la Maguana, the sister parish of the Milwaukee Archdiocese. Fr. Thomas Naidu was appointed to Beaver Dam as an associate pastor to serve, including caring for the Hispanic community. He is happy to minister to our community and thanks God for having led him through marvelous ways in the journey of his priesthood. He especially shows the great lakes and rivers around the world, including Victoria Lake, Nile River, Amazon River, Winnebago, and now Fox Lake/Beaver Dam. He also appreciates all the community members for having received him for his pastoral ministries in the six parishes.
